Then and Now: Doupé Building, Ilwaco
Take a trip through Ilwaco, Washington, in the southwestern quarter of the state, and you’ll see an historic building that is brimming with character. I discovered it is called the Doupé Building, but the story behind it is almost as detailed as the building itself.
Read the whole, fascinating story in a 2010 article from the Chinook Observer…and enjoy this Then and Now image, courtesy of Juxtapose. And if you find yourself in Ilwaco, take half an hour (or more) and visit the Columbia Pacific Heritage Museum. They’ve got some great stuff!
