The Lewis River in Cowlitz County, southwestern Washington, isn’t the state’s longest river…or it’s deepest…or its widest. It can’t claim to have the most river traffic…or more tourist visits than other rivers. But the Lewis River Valley has a rich, personal history that goes back generations. And folks who call the valley home are perfectly pleased with that.
